QD Passive PBM Ophthalmic Lenses for pain-related comfort are designed to incorporate encapsulated, green-emitting quantum dots that convert available ambient light into a targeted emission band of approximately 530 nm ±10 nm. The technology is intended to provide continuous, low-level passive photo-biomodulation during comfortable daily wear—indoors and outdoors—without LEDs, batteries, wires, or other electronics. With high visible-light transmission and clear natural vision, these lenses may be designed to support migraine and headache comfort, neuropathic and musculoskeletal pain pathways, facial or ocular discomfort, pain-related fatigue, and general wellness and recovery. Supplemental artificial lighting may be used to enhance indoor activation. This patented concept is under development, is not commercially available, and may require regulatory authorization.
