Inventive-Lens™
Inventive Lens Company Myopia Lens Therapy hero

Myopia is one of the fastest-growing vision disorders worldwide, with projections suggesting that nearly half of the global population could be myopic by 2050. Increasing evidence indicates that reduced time outdoors and inadequate exposure to natural daylight contribute to myopia development by decreasing retinal dopamine signaling, a key regulator of normal eye growth. Encouraging regular outdoor light exposure during childhood, together with innovative optical approaches such as our passive PBM ophthalmic lens that stimulates dopamine production & supports healthy retinal function, may help reduce myopia progression and promote lifelong visual health.

Inventive Lens Company Myopia Lens Therapy Designed to Control Myopia and Protect Macula

This proprietary ophthalmic lens represents a foundational approach to slowing myopia progression by combining ophthalmic lens design with targeted passive PBM light management. The central lens zone of the lens attenuates selected blue wavelengths that could strike the fovea and or macula, while the peripheral region delivers controlled quantum dot blue-light stimulation to the peripheral retina. The blue light wavelengths of approximately 480nm provide natural retinal dopamine signaling. Retinal dopamine provides a stop signal for the eye’s axial elongation. By maintaining high visible light transmission and full-field vision, this passive PBM, non-electronic design is intended to promote healthy retinal function while supporting normal eye growth and long-term visual wellness.

Today’s myopia control spectacle lenses create therapeutic optical power in the peripheral lens. This necessarily reduces the area of completely unaltered single-vision optics, often requiring more head turns and reducing the width of the clear, unmodified visual field. The proprietary Myopia Control QD Single Vision Lens show here, combined with the Eclipse® Ocular Light Therapy System, preserves the full single-vision optical field while providing projected equal or greater myopia-control efficacy through complementary light-based therapy rather than peripheral optical defocus.

Inventive Lens Company Myopia Lens Therapy Passive PBM Light Therapy

This next proprietary ophthalmic lens represents a foundational approach to slowing myopia progression by combining ophthalmic lens design with targeted passive PBM light management. The central lens zone of the lens attenuates selected blue wavelengths that could strike the fovea and or macula, while the peripheral region delivers controlled quantum dot blue-light and red-light stimulation to the peripheral retina. The blue light wavelengths of approximately 480nm provide natural retinal dopamine signaling and the red-light wavelengths of approximately 650nm stimulate mitochondrial activity. Retinal dopamine provides a stop signal for the eye’s axial elongation, and the increased mitochondrial activity enhances choroidal and scleral health. By maintaining high visible light transmission and full-field vision, this passive PBM, non-electronic design is intended to promote healthy retinal function while supporting normal eye growth and long-term visual wellness.
